DaBOOKs: Comprehensive Reading Program for English Textbooks
DaBOOKs is a comprehensive reading program developed by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a leading American textbook publisher. It is designed to help users read and learn from original English textbooks. With a total of 10 levels, DaBOOKs offers a level test to diagnose the user's reading level.
The program consists of three main components. First, the "Reading" program includes pre-reading activities, word study, and reading the story. After reading, users can engage in comprehension activities, word matching, word games, book reports, and even participate in read-aloud sessions.
DaBOOKs also provides a book history management feature, allowing users to easily track their reading progress on a monthly basis. Additionally, users can access word lists and word sheets for each book, enabling them to review and reinforce vocabulary.
Please note that the program requires the purchase of a subscription to access the reading materials. Furthermore, it can only be used when connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Regarding app permissions, DaBOOKs requires access to the microphone for recording purposes, and storage access to save and upload profile pictures. Additionally, users have the option to grant access to the camera for profile picture uploads.
